DeCedrick Walker experienced a mitigation investigation as then client 20-odd years ago when he was an emerging adult facing the death penalty and again as a man in his 40s, seeking clemency. DeCedrick will describe that experience, the challenges it created, and the opportunities for him to explore and heal from his childhood trauma that it presented.

DeCedrick will be participating by Zoom from Stateville Correctional Facility.
