Art from the Inside (AFTI) provides incarcerated artists with visual voice through engaging, community-centered exhibitions of their art. Join us for a conversation with Antonio Espinosa, a former correctional officer who started this project as a way to bring hope and healing into Stillwater prison. Also, meet two of the artists, Jennifer Marx and Ricardo Dominguez, who participated in the project during their incarceration, and now serve on the board of directors for the organization while developing as artists on the outside. The trio presented at last year’s conference, and you will want to hear about how they continue to transform themselves and how they have been working to grow Art from the Inside to serve a larger population of incarcerated artists, to collaborate with other organizations promoting a variety of social-justice issues, and to connect with the greater community.
