Racism—both explicit and implicit—shows up every day in child welfare, from removal decisions to placement decisions to treatment planning and lack of reasonable efforts. Byron L. Conway, Jr., teaches how to explicitly address this race-based discrimination by examining the framework the federal laws applied in the family regulation system and exploring avenues for attack in court through legal arguments, cross examination, motions practice, and more.
