This is not your typical failure to success story. Using my own personal story, I will share my knowledge and experiences with the types of system failures that lands individuals in our offices and on our caseloads daily. One key aspect of criminal defense work  is getting to know our clients, both their struggles and their triumphs. In "I Could Have Been Your Client," I will share all of the ways in which the failures of the school sytems, social services, and contact with the criminal justice systems played an integral role in my journey towards a career in public defense work. Spoiler Alert: I was someone's client!
