This presentation will cover the role of the social worker/mitigation specialist in a variety of mental health cases (competency, insanity, and pretrial). We will discuss effective collaboration with members of defense teams and retained experts in these complex mental health cases as well as leveraging our role in negotiations with the government. We will cover the evolution of this collaboration, including the development and redevelopment of our Mental Health Practice Group.
